Starr From Seward
En Route Westward

Mrs. Sharp, Miss Bingham, Dan Koss Some of the Interesting Passengers

The S. S. Starr came into port from Seward Thursday noon bringing among others John Korsness, now a full-fledged citizen. Completion of his papers was accomplished during his late visit to the Resurrection Bay City.

Judge W. A. Vmal was a returning passenger from Seattle, where he had been the past six weeks, attending to vital business matters. He had a lot of interesting things to say, and they are reviewed with some detail in other sections of the paper.

Miss Mamie Lowell got off at Seldovia and is going to stop here. Certainly for a time, and if she likes it, as she expects to, will make it her permanent home. She is with her step-mother, Mrs. Billie Lowell. Miss Mamie has been away from Seldovia since very early childhood. She is the daughter of the late Billie Lowell and his first wife.

Albert Rift and Mrs. Rift are returning to their home in Uyak.

U. S. Marshal Dan Ross is returning to his headquarters at Unalaska. He has been outside, where he escorted two demented patients.

John Mocsen is going back to Sandpoint and S. Sandrenton to Uyak.

Miss Kathryn Brigham is going to Uyak, and Mrs. J.A. Armstrong was a passenger to Unalaska.
While there is nothing very exciting going on at Unga, said Mrs. Sharp, the situation is not at all bad. The fishermen have disposed of their entire pack of codfish, and while she has no exact knowledge of the price received, she understands in a general way settlement was satisfactory.

Red fox seem to be especially plentiful, said The Herald's correspondent, and a number of trappers are out, and expect a fur payday.

Now that she has her health and strength back again, Mrs. Sharp has promised to send in a lot of news from the westward.

Mrs. G. E. Anderson and child took passage from here for Uganic bay.

The Starr stayed in port for a short halfhour.
