Full Text
A brick was heated and put at the foot of a bed, in consequence of the extreme cold, for the purpose of keeping the feet warm. Some time during the night, the inmates of the bed, four in number, were aroused from their slumbers almost suffocated with smoke, and found that the brick had set the bed on fire, and that a great part of the clothes were burnt to a cinder, tho' no flame had burst out, there probably being no circulation of air in the room.
