Pastor Hayes and members are happy over the progress made during the year of 1955 and are looking forward to a more successful year of church work. Presiding Elder Townsend filled the pulpit on the first Sunday of the New Year. This was a great service. The following Monday night, the second quarterly conference business session was held with each church organization represented and making a full report.
Activity highlights of the first month included a dinner served in the church dining room by the Stewardess Board No. 2; a musical program under the direction of Mrs. Carrie Roberts, and a "Mock Conference," with Mrs. Stella Ford as director.
Last Sunday afternoon, Rev. Mrs. Louise Burnett was guest of the Stewardess Board. Later in the afternoon, the Young People's Department officers were installed by Mrs. Christine Hayes. Mrs. Alice Wheeler is supervisor.
The Church shall continue to forge its way to the top level of human relations, reaching the masses in service and responsibility.
