Florence, July 28.

The Duke of Montemar has sent some Troops to reinforce the Piquets who are upon the Frontiers of Tuscany, in order to stop the Career of the Germans and that General seems determined to form a Camp thereabouts : Of which Marshal de Noailles being informed, 'tis reported that he has sent an Express to the Spanish General, to dissuade him from that Design, insisting, that those Measures were needless, since Peace was on the Point of being concluded : But this did not prevail upon the Spaniard to countermand his Troops, being flushed up with the large Sums which he lately received to pay the Army.
