LOS ANGELES (WS) - The daily papers were divided on the most part and the majority of them were disappointed last Friday night when Lawrence Tibbett was heard at Shrine Auditorium in the opera taken from the play The Emperor Jones written by Eugene O'Neill.
But understandable of this. Among were the canon Baine and Edwin Schallert.
