Ala. Law Bars Tuskegee As All-Negro City

Montgomery, Ala. (CNS)—Alabama House of Representatives struck again at the boycotting Negroes of Tuskegee who have been waging an all-out refusal to purchase from white merchants as long as they were gerrymandered. Continued on page 3.

The new bill prohibits the incorporation of a new municipality within the police jurisdiction of an existing city or town. Tuskegee had been talking of forming an all-Negro city which would include 420 of the town's 430 Negro voters.
