SMALL POX.

This awful disease is now in Fayette county, and to some extent is quite bad. One family living at the foot of Laurel Hill, consisting of the father, mother and eleven children, are all down with it, and no one to help their. We understand that two of the children have lost their eye sight. We further understand that a family living on the turnpike, that of the Sheriff of the county has this disease.

We think that the magistracy of this county ought to take some steps to prevent persons coming into this county, from the infected regions of Tennessee. In consequence of the disease no Court was held at Fayetteville at last regular term. We understand that in all probability there will be no Superior Court held for that County this spring, as the Judge has been written to, apprizing him of the fact, that the Small Pox is in the place or neighborhood.
