BODY IS FOUND IN RIVER

Young Man Was Drowned in Little River in Oklahoma.

Idabel, Okla., Feb. 5. A young man named Phillips, about 21 years of age disappeared on Tuesday, December 21, and his body was found in Little River about two and one-half miles from his home by his father, Charlie Phillips, who had been hunting for his son ever since his disappearance.

Young Phillips, who lived with his parents about a mile north of Odell had been visiting at the home Tom McGowan, who lives several miles north of the river, and on Tuesday, December 31, decided to return home, started out on foot and had not been heard of since, until his body was found in the river.

Mr. Phillips says that his son was in the habit of swimming the river whenever he wanted to cross it, and it is supposed that he tried to swim it and that the cold water caused him to cramp so that he was drowned.
