PARTIES OF THE WEEK
Dover, April 26- Dr. Cahall Sipple had as his guests over the week-end Mr. and Mrs. Morton Brokaw, who are on their way from Florida where they have been spending the winter, to their home at Bound Brook, N. J., and Mr. and Mrs. Henry S. Rothrock, of Wilmington.
Mr. Wilbur Burton, Jr., a student at the University of Maryland Dental College, Baltimore, spent a visit last week with his parents. Miss Margaret Phillips and Willard Boyce also attended the K. A. formal Friday evening.
Mrs. Alfred C. Hopkins recently entertained twenty-four guests at luncheon and bridge at her home on Bradford street.
Mrs. Henry C. Johnson, who has been spending the winter with her daughter, Mrs. J. P. Helmick and Dr. Helmick, has returned to her home at Eldorado, Arkansas.
Rev. and Mrs. R. C. Helfenstein were visitors at Lewisburg, Pa., several days recently as guests at a party given by the Christian Church in honor of the eighty-second birthday anniversary of their pastor, Dr. D. M. Helfenstein.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Russell Hayman had as their recent guest the former's sister, Mrs. John Johnson, of Norfolk.
Miss Margaret Hartnett entertained her bridge club Monday of last week.
Mrs. Margaret Peterson has been a Philadelphia visitor for several days.
Mrs. James H. Hughes went to Washington, D. C., Saturday, with friends to see the cherry blossoms.
Captain and Mrs. George H. Walls are at Atlantic City for a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Scarborough are receiving congratulations on the birth of a daughter at the Kent General Hospital.
Congratulations are also being extended Mr. and Mrs. J. Allan Frear, Jr., on the birth of a son, Thursday, April 19, at the Kent General Hospital.
Chancellor and Mrs. Josiah O. Wolcott were host and hostess at a dinner and bridge party Saturday evening at their home.
Dr. and Mrs. Stanley Worden had as their recent guests Dr. and Mrs. Vernon Norwood, of Baltimore. Saturday evening the Wordens entertained with three tables of bridge in their honor.
Mrs. Charles T. Jackson, Mrs. Cahall Sipple, Mrs. Thomas M. Gooden, Jr., Mrs. Charles W. Hardesty, Mrs. Gilbert Rawley, of Dover; Mrs. Fred Nolan, of Prospect Park, Pa., and Mrs. Robert W. Kessler, of Milford, have been on a motor trip to Summit, N. J., where they were guests of Mrs. Cecil C. Fulton, Jr.
