Our Platform
1. No centralization. No invasion of the
Constitutional Government.
2. Congress and the President to be deprived of
all excessive and unnatural powers assumed dur-
ing and since the war, and to be brought back within
the limits of the Constitution.
3. The recent central strong arm policy to be
principally hunted down.
4. Reform of the Civil Service.
5. Restoration of specie payments.
6. Retrenchment-revenue to be reduced to the
actual wants of the Government, the tariff to be put on a revenue basis.
7. Civil service reform.
8. No re-construction in 1876.
