Major Charles R. Jonas, of Raleigh, was guest speaker at the Rotary Club meeting Tuesday and made a highly interesting and informative talk on the selective service act and the GI bill of rights. He discussed also highlights of the re-employment program.
Major Jonas, former member of the club, was presented by President S. Ray Lowder. He was given a hearty welcome home again.
Jack Kiser introduced Bill Eaker as the Junior Rotarian for the month.
E. H. Hartley was presented as a new member of the club.
Visitors were Carl Moore, Gastonia; P. E. Rogers, L. R. Metz and Tom Hanrahan, Charlotte; R. C. Boyd, Hickory; W. H. Detrich, Hazelton, Pa.; Dr. S. H. Steelman, W. C. Henderson, W. F. Kincaid and W. E. Garrison.
