NORFOLK, M.30.

A gentleman, who came passenger in the Minerva from Ostend, informs, that the sloop Lively Captain Spencer, belonging to Mr. Cruger of New-York, was taken into Ostend, but Spencer, happening to take up, in one of the Coffee-Houses, the identical paper which described the affair in which he was so principally interested, immediately retreated, and set sail for Ireland, where he sold the cargo for 1800 l. sterling, and was so fool-hardy as to return to Ostend, where, in consequence of the advertisement, the vessel was seized.—Spencer, it is said, made his escape.
