VERY IMPORTANT.

From NEW-YORK, March 28.

We learn from Philadelphia, that Mr. Livingston and Mr. Gallatin were the Committee of the House of Representatives of the United States, to present the resolution of that House to the President of the United States, calling for papers from the President relative to the treaty with Great-Britain, which passed on Thursday last and that the said Committee waited on the President accordingly, with said resolution, last Thursday in the afternoon; when the President was pleased to inform them, that he should take time, and send an answer by message.
