Event Details
The first regiment of the city and county of New-York, and other citizens residing within its limits, assembled on their regimental parade at 7 o'clock A.M. and proceeded to Governor's-Island, where they performed a day's labor on the fortifications there erecting, under the direction of the commander in chief, as one of the commissioners. The fatigue party consisted of two hundred and sixty four men.
