BAPTIST ASSEMBLY ELECTS.

Rev. Frank Day, of Algona, Chosen
President of Iowa Assembly.

Iowa Falls, Aug. 11.—At the business
session of the Iowa Baptist assembly
which closed a ten days' meeting in
this city last evening, the following
officers of the state organization were
elected: President, Rev. Frank Day,
of Algona; first vice president, A. D.
St. Clair, of Hampton; second vice
president, Rev. W. E. Darrow, of Mt.
Ayr; third vice president, Mrs. Clara
Sherry, of Iowa Falls; secretary, D. V.
Wilson, of Iowa Falls; treasurer, A. S.
Clark, of Iowa Falls. The following
board of directors were named: Chair-
man, Rev. L. E. Veits, of this city;
secretary, Prof. Jay A. Lapham, of
Des Moines; D. V. Wilson, of Iowa
Falls; A. D. St. Clair, of Hampton;
Rev. J. Frederic Catlin, of Ames; Mrs.
Clara Sherry, of Iowa Falls, and Mrs.
M. A. Ketman, of Renwick.
