Phoenix, Ariz., March 20.-Samuel D. Bradner, a switchman in the Southern Pacific yards at Benson, was selected as speaker of the House of Arizona's first State Legislature by a caucus of Democratic members.
The Democrats control the House 35 to 4. Bradner was the choice of the State administration for speaker.
A Democratic Senate caucus named Michael Gunniff, a former instructor in Harvard university, for president.
Leaders of the majority say the Legislature will enact a constitutional amendment reinserting the recall of the judiciary, stricken out at the instance of President Taft.
