The play is set in a university town where Lucille Weston, played by Ada Blekkink, is working her way through college. She meets John Prince, alias John King who calls her his Cinderella Girl. Although John urges her and she longs to enter into the good times of the college world, her dearth of suitable clothes keeps her away.
Henrietta Brosseau and Marjorie Bridgman playing the parts of two college girls, Janette and Isabelle, respectively, who have played a prank on two college boys, Barlow Cowan and Arthur Larsen are afraid of the police. Since Mary, an Irish girl, characterized by Iva Sarvold, wants to help Lucille. she gets her lover, Patrick Quinn, taken by Merrill Mathws, to pretend that he is a detective on the trail of the girls. When they try to bribe him, he promises silence in exchange for Isabel's party dress. Lucille then wears the dress to a dance where she goes with John. Like Cinderella she loses her slippers and John Prince helps her find them. Isabel recognizes her dress, Lucille confesses. John claims his Cinderella girl. and all ends happily.
