This is my last will and testament. I hereby give and bequeath to my sister, Mary Amelia Taylor, of Driffield, (Yorkshire) England, two hundred pounds. I also give and bequeath to Mary Witherwich, of Grimsby, (Lincolnshire) sixty pounds, to be paid as soon as after my death as possible.
GEORGE NICHOLS.
No good cause has been assigned for the deed. It is said that for three months he has been trying to procure work, and that all his efforts have proved unavailing, and that this disappointment caused him to commit suicide. The coroner's jury rendered a verdict of premeditated death.— Albany Journal, Aug. 16.
