Things That Interest Women
By Bessie F. Bell
HOW DO YOU LOOK?
With the passing of many birthdays, the color of one's skin, hair and teeth become slightly and grayer. This means that your make-up should be soft-toned and delicately tinted to add the soft color that your skin lacks. It is at this time when most women do themselves a great injustice and withdraw to the old standby - black and brown.
This is a grave mistake, ladies. Right now is the time to have your fling with pastels and soft costume colors. Then when the locks turn white, navy and black once again are flattering to your skin.
If you are getting one of the new shorter hair cuts for a re-styling, then have your hair-dresser do the cutting before the shampoo, he then finds it easier to manage.
ETIQUETTE SAYS - Dip only the finger tips into the finger bowl, and one hand at a time.
IN THE LINE OF FASHION-For Fall and Winter, you will choose a lot of contrasting and sharp colors. Millinery too, will have plenty of glitter and color.
Shoes have not been forgotten; either foot you choose to place forward will be your best, because the shoes are quite the fanciest, I dare say, since Cleopatra.
For your queries or my leaflets, "Minerals for Beauty" and "Slimming the Waistline," send a three-cent stamp to Bessie F. Bell, care of Global News Syndicate, P.O. Box 86, Manhattanville Station, New York 27, N.Y.
HELP FOR THE HOME EXECUTIVE-Place the whole coconut in the oven until it is warm. Then a slight blow will crack it easily.
