Vermont, 1st Tuesday in September.
Maine, 2d Monday in September.
Georgia,
1st Monday in October.
Arkansas,
S. Carolina, 2d Monday in October.
New Jersey,
Pennsylvania,

Ohio,
New York, 2d Monday in November.
Massachusetts
Delaware, 2d Tuesday in November.

By the time these elections are over the wilfully blind Locofocos will understand the state of their party and the Sub Treasury. The Van Buren majority in these 14 States is over 20. It is calculated that it will be more than 20 the other way. Of the remaining States the Whigs have a considerable majority in members now.

We have seen some detailed calculations for the whole. A N. H. paper estimates the Whig majority in the coming Congress at 74. We think this too high—we shall be content with 40, and of that number we feel confident.
