They write from Amsterdam, that however ardently the Members of the Government labour to bring about the Renewal of the Treaty of Commerce with France, upon easier Conditions than those contain'd in the Plan drawn up at Paris, and lately deliver'd to them by the Marquis de Fenelon; yet it's believ'd, that the Court of France, in it's present powerful State, will hardly be prevail'd upon to abate of the Demand that it has made of paying no more Duties for French Goods imported into the Republick, than the Merchandizes of Holland pay when imported into France.
