CHRISTMAS.

The people of Greenville have had another merry Christmas. The children were abundantly provided for by Santa Claus, and had an uncommonly merry and gleeful Christmas. It is presumed that almost every family in town had a turkey for dinner, judging from the number brought to town and sold. Our Market Hall was under obligations to Mr. B. P. Smith for a Christmas present of a fine young fat turkey, and to Mrs. Williamson Plant for two or three pounds of splendid fresh butter. These are the kind of presents that count. The Carrier Boy also received a present of a gin from Mr. B. P. Smith, who is the children's particular favorite.
