EMBARGO in FRANCE TAKEN OFF.

Yesterday arrived at Chester, the ship Franklin, Capt. Jones, in 34 days from Bordeaux. By this arrival we have received the following important letter.

Paris, August 21st, 1798.

Joseph Fenwick, Esq. Bordeaux.

DEAR SIR,

Thinking it as agreeable to you, as interesting to our commerce, I hasten to inform you I have received to-day an official copy of the arret of the Directory taking off the embargo laid on our vessels. This arret is not yet published, but I hope it will be soon in every port of France, and of course put into execution,
