From the Baltimore Gazette.
FROM COLOMBIA.
We are indebted to the Editors of the Commercial Chronicle for a file of Caracas papers to the 31st ult. It appears by information communicated to the editors, "that the troubles in Colombia still continue, and that Gen. Paez left Caracas on the 4th of June, at night in great haste, having been sent for by express from Valencia, to quiet the disturbance which had broken out amongst the troops."
In addition to the above, we learn that Gen. Bermudez, in the Province of Cumana, has taken a proper view of the revolt of Paez, and has determined to preserve that Province from the taint of treason—Having placed himself at the head of his troops, amounting to six thousand men, it is his intention to put down by force all attempts to separate the interests of the Province from the Government at Bogota, and should General Paez make any hostile movement in that quarter, resistance to his power would be prompt, and we believe, effectual.
The standard hoisted by Bermudez on this occasion bears the motto, " Bolivar and the Constitution"—and we have reason to hope that it will triumph over treason and disaffection, even before the return of the LIBERATOR. The commanding officers in the surrounding Provinces we believe without an exception, are directly opposed to the unconstitutional and treasonable views of General Paez, and we trust for the honor of the country, and the glory of those who have remained faithful to the laws, that justice may speedily overtake the disaffected.

The municipality of Caracas were summoned to meet at Valencia on the 10th June, to take into consideration the state of the Province, and to devise measures to restore tranquillity to its inhabitants.

Business was dull at Caracas; no money in circulation; and those who owed money could not pay their debts.
