Illinois Central to Rebuild Its Docks
Just as Soon as It Possibly
Can Be Done.

Superintendent A. H. Egan and
Roadmaster F. L. Thompson, of the
Louisville division of the I. C., arrived
in the city yesterday on the special
train from Louisville which brought
several bridge supply cars and many
bridge carpenters through en route to
New Orleans to work on the burned
docks.

The train had about eight tool and
supply cars and several coaches and
the trip was a tiresome one for the
officials, who went to bed immediately
on reaching the city. Carpenters were
picked up wherever it was possible to
secure them and the train made good
time considering the stops.
Trains from other divisions
of the road are also rushing south
with carpenters and supplies to relieve
the situation.
