On Sir R. W.'s Recovery
Maz'd on Shore the trembling Owners stood,
When a rich Ship was sinking in the Flood.
Jove's aiding Arm the dusky Ether clears,
The Storm still rages, again their Ship appears.
Their Anguish ceases, now no more they grieve,
Their Fears disperse, and they new Joys receive.
So W.'s dang'rous Illness being o'er,
Again he glads Britannia as before.
His Health returning, gives Great George Delight,
And King and Country in one Joy unite.
In the Eclipse the hidden Sun we mourn'd
But soon our Pleasure with his Beams return'd.
