Leavenworth, Kansas, Sept. 24.

The following order has been issued:

In accordance with section 4, article 8th, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, I hereby order every man in the State between the ages of 18 and 45 capable of bearing arms, to immediately enroll himself in some military company, in accordance with the militia laws of this State, and each company is hereby ordered to hold itself in readiness for immediate marching orders. Each man will furnish all the arms in his possession. Refusal of any man to obey this order, will be taken as evidence of his disloyalty, and he will be treated accordingly.
