Quota at Rally
HOLTVILLE, April 26.-A spirited bond rally here Saturday sent the city of Holtville soaring far past its April quota of $116,766, Roy Thompson, chairman of the second war bond drive here, said certificates valued at $107,957 were sold at Auction during the ceremonies.
Previous sales placed the city's total at $149,638, for the month, or $32,872 over the figure set by the county war bond committee for the community's quota.
During the rally a number of modern war implements were displayed and planes from the El Centro Marine Air Training station winged overhead in a number of spectacular maneuvers.
Milton Zinn served as auctioneer for the affair which was conducted in the city playground.
