Full Text

The circumstance, related in our paper of April 29. relative to Mr. Joseph Clark, who was dismissed from employment, for having voted for the Republican Prox, has been published in most of the papers in the United States, and with such comments, as convince us it is generally execrated. The papers, however have spoken of it as an event which happened in Providence, which is incorrect. It is not perhaps very material, but we apprehend they have enough of those kind of sins to answer for in Providence, without leaping on their heads those of Newport.
