Full Text
We have received several communications, addressed to our Mechanic brethren, which we have not room to insert—We dare not think so meanly of them as to suspect that they will submit to the dictation of any man or set of men. The Mechanics of Portsmouth have been long remarked for their steady principles and independence of action. If some few may have gone astray, this defection should stimulate the rest to more vigorous exertion to vindicate their principles, and defend their rights and privileges.
