CHRISTIAN PREDICTS BIG OIL FIELD IN PANHANDLE

Among the visitors in Amarillo Tuesday was "Billy" Christian, sheriff of Hutchinson county. When asked about the outlook for the oil field in this portion of the Panhandle, Mr. Christian, who is a pioneer settler, said: "I have not a single doubt that the oil field of the Panhandle will be in keeping with what the gas field has proven itself already. The people of Hutchinson, Carson, Gray and Potter counties will doubtless soon be inseparably connected in this oil field inclusion. After that, there will be the tacking on of other counties until, perhaps, this entire section of the state may be known as oil territory."
