Indiana's Capital City Gives Them
Royal Welcome.
INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 2.-With glorious
weather, every street ablaze with decorations
and with the booming of cannon,
the city welcomed the veterans of the
Grand Army of the Republic to the 27th
annual encampment. Today's chief
feature was the parade of the Naval
brigade under command of Rear Admiral
Osborne. It marched through the principal
streets and was cheered by thousands
of onlookers. An informal reception
was afterwards held on board the
model of the warship Kearsage.
