French emigrants.—Government have acted most laudably in ejecting the French Emigrants from this country. A gentleman of some respectability has made the following statement respecting these people: That on the night when the intelligence shall reach London, the French have attempted to land, and particularly if they should have partially succeeded, the emissaries are here instructed to set fire to their apartments, in various parts of the metropolis and thus produce a scene of horror and confusion similar to that which took place, by means of Popish infamy, at the memorable fire of London.
