Mr. Riley discussed plans for the combination state rally and convention to be called in Bismarck June 21-23. A new district congressional board will be elected at this convention for the ensuing term. Arrangements have been begun and invitations are being sent to all Townsend clubs throughout the state.
A meeting will be held Wednesday June 9, in the courthouse for all those in the city interested in the Townsend club to further develop plans for the state meeting.
Speakers on the Tuesday evening program were Mayor Obert Olson, W. E. Hoopes, John N. Hagan, H. Peck and Mr. Riley. Refreshments were served after a group of numbers, including essays by Wilda Sebastian, Kathleen Koehler and Wisie Schultz; a piano solo by Norma Keene and an accordion solo by Marcus Snyder.
