Four Local Men Sent To Naval Air Station

Four Dayton young men, who recently enlisted in the naval service, have been transferred to the naval air station in Pensacola, Fla., according to an announcement from the public relations office of that station.

The men enlisted at the local recruiting office in July as apprentice seamen and were sent to the Great Lakes, Ill., naval training station for preliminary training. They are:

Russell Hacker, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Anderson of 142 Ridge avenue; Thomas Anello, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Anello of 1615 Chapel street; Anthony Kolakowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Kolakowski of 180 Notre Dame avenue, and Joe W. Cummins, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Cummins of 212 Fluhart avenue.

Hacker received high school training at Morton High school, Richmond, Ind., while Anello and Kolakowski attended Kiser High school in Dayton.
