SACRAMENTO, March 1 (UP)—Gov. Earl Warren announced he had asked a legislative committee to investigate a scheme for a "special lobby fund" to ask for a legislative increase in old-age pensions.

Warren said he had received two letters last week in which checks were enclosed asking that a special session of the legislature be called to raise the pension rate from $50 to $75 per month.

He said he had turned over the letters and checks to a legislative committee on old-age pension advocates and promoters set up by the last session of the legislature.
