Extract of a letter from Paris, Nov. 9.

It is no longer the intention to send Commissioners to see England disarm, it being agreed to trust to each other's honor. It is thought that the national honor has been compromised, in all that has passed, respecting Holland; and their sensibility in this respect, is not a little increased, by an assurance, that the King, of his own motion, was the first who so expressed himself.

"That his Majesty also, it is said, was solely decided to succour Holland, and to arm in consequence; but that his Council, seeing that the succours were too late, employed the most pressing reasons to make him change his resolution. His Majesty acceded to this persuasion, rather than be the means of a general war. We are ignorant of the state of the negociations now carrying on in consequence of this event;
but it is supposed there is some question in favor of those whom this revolution has caused, in great numbers, to leave their country, or, who in other respects, have become unfortunate victims; but the nature of this interposition, as well as the issue, is equally uncertain."
