IMPERIAL HONORS
To Minnie Hauk--The Emperor of Germany
Sends Her His Portrait.

New York, December 10. - Minnie Hauk celebrated this week the 10th anniversary of her appointment as Chamber and Court Singer to the Emperor of Germany. Among many letters and congratulations she also received an official notification from Baron Huelsen, Intendant General of the Imperial theatres in Germany, that his majesty had conferred upon her his own portrait as a token of his esteem and special grace (besondere Gnade). The portrait is a large photograph, splendidly framed, and bearing the signature of the Emperor. This is the first instance that an artist received such special distinction.
