Full Text

An Outrageous Lying.

The Cincinnati Commercial of yesterday states editorially, as follows:

"We have it on pretty good authority that Vallandigham, Dan. Voorhees and Fernando Wood have been in conclave at Niagara Falls this week."

Mr. Voorhees has not been out of Indiana for the past six weeks. The Cincinnati Commercial knows this. What, then, the object of its infamous falsehoods? What can be thought of a cause which requires such downright lying to sustain it? When such lies are wilfully circulated, the object is to cover or conceal some frauds which the Abolitionists are preparing to perpetuate power in their hands. Desperate indeed must be the fortunes of the faction or the party that is compelled to resort to such scoundrelism to sustain itself.—Indianapolis (Ind.) Sentinel.
