John Zboran and John Alexsuk, students of the Hernando county Veterans On-the-Farm Training Program, each won a first and a second place in the Egg and Baby Chick Show recently sponsored by the Poultry Science Club of the University of Florida The show was a state-wide event with 285 dozens of eggs being submitted from as far north as Pensacola and all the way south to Miami. The prizes also carried a cash award
The eggs submitted were extremely high quality. Three of the four dozen submitted had a quality rating of 95 and a fourth dozen belonging to John Alexsuk was rated 100 per cent in quality
Both of these veterans are members of the Masaryktown East co-operative that supplies eggs to stores located throughout the State of Florida
