Because the worries over her divorce suit were "driving her almost crazy, and already had ruined her nerves," Mrs. Philip Van Valkenburgh, "the 10-million dollar widow," formerly wife of William Hayes Chapman, will start on a month's cruise today. Mrs. Van Valkenburgh will visit Panama, Cuba and Porto Rico, among other places. She says she intends to give full scope to the rest cure treatment. For the last 18 months Mrs. Van Valkenburgh has been attempting to get a divorce. Her husband is also a multi-millionaire.
"Talk about the law's delay," exclaimed Mrs. Van Valkenburgh yesterday, "It is outrageous. Here it has been 18 months and not the sign of a trial. There is no justice for a wealthy woman. If I were poor I would have been getting alimony all this time. Instead of that my husband is wandering around Europe. I don't know just where he is."
