Students Impressed
With Old Grads'
College Progress
Students of R. R. Moton High School are still commenting on the favorable impressions left by former Motonians who returned during the holiday season. We are proud to have students enrolled at Ohio State University, Alverno College, Howard University, Virginia State College, Virginia Union, St. Paul's Polytechnic Institute, New York University, Virginia Seminary and various vocational and trade schools. Many of our alumni who recently visited Moton are in the Armed Forces.
The informative Principal's Annual New Year's Message which stressed resolutions directed toward aspiring for higher ideals in scholastic and personal-social areas has resulted in improvement by many students.
The Moton Honor Society sponsored the Virginia Seminary Choir last Friday, January 13, in an inspirational concert.
Motons Choir, under the direction of Mrs. M. J. Payne, journeyed to Virginia State College last Sunday to hear a dynamic concert presented by the College Band. The choir, incidentally is currently touring the community, presenting concerts at various churches. The community Caroling at Christmas was thoroughly enjoyed by many citizens.
The School Evaluation Program is still in progress. Specialists and critics will be brought in by late spring.
