Various state papers have been printing the story of a Moscow tailor who took his pay for a suit of clothes in mining stocks which he recently brought to light and found them to be the missing and long sought for shares of the LeRoi mine which made him a rich man. California and eastern papers enlarged upon the story, but now comes Col. W. W. D. Turner, president of the company, who says that it is all a myth, that the only shares not accounted were the 500 belonging to the Massey estate which were afterwards bought in by the company, that no Moscow tailor, or Colfax shoemaker as some of the papers stated it, had any stock or had ever been interested in the company.
