SUBMARINE BASE
Though the regular yachting season is closed, there are still a number of these vessels coming into port and berthing at the Key West Yacht Basin in the submarine base.
During the past few days the following have come in:
Motor Yacht Pegasus, owned by Clifford Hemphill, Jr., of New York. Captain Wheeler, arrived last evening and after a short stay, departed. The Pegasus is 118 feet in length, and has been here several times this year.
Cabin Cruiser Alam, 30 footer, home port Palm Beach, arrived Sunday. The vessel is owned by J. L. Kingsland, and is out with the owner and party, fishing.
Xanadu: Diesel cruiser, and one of the best appointed yachts to arrive this season, is being painted and renovated and is expected to leave tomorrow for Tortugas. The yacht is owned by Charles H. Morse, Jr., of the Fairbanks-Morse company. Mr. Morse has a party of friends on board.
Cabin Cruiser Happy Hours, from Miami, with owner, W. S. Lindsay and party on board, will return within a short time from a fishing excursion.
