HORRID DEPRAVITY.

Six months since, says the Democratic Press, we mentioned that a hired girl about 13 years of age, had thrust several brass and glass buttons, a large iron screw and a brass hook, down and into the throat of one of our neighbor's children, but a few months old! The girl was dismissed, and the child after extreme suffering is now considered out of danger. Within three weeks the hired girl lived at a milk man's. The milk man has been with us, and brought six small pins and a large darning needle, which have been voided by one of his small children during one week, while this wicked girl lived in his family. We have no doubt but this diabolical young woman has been guilty of the offences stated, and of others of a similar character, but we fear there is not legal evidence to convict her.
