ARRESTING A HOBO.

Experience of Night Policeman Latourette in Getting a Man on the Yard Engine.

Last night when the yard engine fireman, Fox, of the S. P. Co., retired at a late hour he discovered a man snugly ensconced in his engine. He called Policeman Latourette who took his mace, an extra shooting iron, and went over to the No. 86 to run his man in.

"I want you" said the vigilant official to the fellow who was warming himself in the cab. The man came out and prepared to surrender himself. Latourette took off his great coat prepared for a long tramp to the cooler with his man. Imagine his surprise to find it was the night operator at the S. P. office, whose fire had gone out and he had stepped into the engine cab to warm himself.

The policeman put his coat on and is hunting for Fox with a club.
