The following is extracted from the Chillicothe Gazette. It is important as it decides the sentiment of Ross County to be decidedly in favour of the admission of the North Western Territory as a state into the union. We have not heard the result of the election in the other counties.

On the second Tuesday in October, 1802, at the election held in the county of Ross, for five members to the general Convention, the following gentlemen were duly elected:--

Edward Tiffin, Esq.—Col. Nathaniel Massie—Col. Thomas Worthington—Michael Baldwin and James Grubb, Esquires.

The following is an authenticated Return of the votes as they stood at the close of the polls :-
