JUNEAU - Services of itinerant mental health clinics have been resumed on a limited scale, Commissioner of Health and Welfare Paul L. Winsor announced last week. Itinerant services have been curtailed for the current fiscal year, he said, but mental health workers from Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau have been able to hold some clinics in the past two months.
In the Northern Region, Psychiatric Social Worker Mary Lou Stealey returned to Fairbanks the first week of Dec. after mental health conferences held in Nome, Kotzebue and Unalakleet. In the Southcentral Region a mental health team comprised of a psychiatrist, psychiatric social worker and psychologist are scheduled to hold clinics in Bethel in Jan.
