Will Accept Loan Applications On No. 4 Wheat

The commodity credit corporation, which is the organization that is advancing the funds through which the farmers may secure loans on stored wheat, have notified the Blaine county agricultural conservation association that they will now accept loans on No. 4 wheat for farm storage where the grade is based on test weight only. The No. 4 wheat which is now eligible for a loan on farm storage must be No. 3 or better on conditions other than test weight.

The loan value on No. 4 wheat is based on 71c terminal storage in Minneapolis. According to the records of the Blaine county conservation office, 82 applications for loans have been filed in this county. Approximately 25 loans have been made on farm stored wheat, the balance of them being made on terminal storage.

Farmers who anticipate making application for loans are advised to do so just as rapidly as possible so that the field work may be completed before winter weather sets in.
