LaPrade Promoted Sales Organization Virginia-Carolina Chemical Corp.

Wallace LaPrade, a Farmville resident for the past four years, has been promoted to assistant-to-manager of Virginia-Carolina Chemical Corporation's Richmond sales office.

LaPrade, who joined V-C in 1949, had been a fertilizer salesman in the Farmville territory. A native of Chesterfield county, LaPrade served in World War II as a captain in the Corps of Engineers. He was employed by the American Tobacco Company before he joined the V-C.

Mrs. LaPrade the former Miss Margaret Loving of Richmond, was social editor with the Farmville Herald. The LaPrades have one son Denny, five. They are making their home at 4704 Sylvan Road in Richmond.
